What Can I Do?

So now you've read though my portfolio, you probably realise that my background is pretty varied. I'm just as happy wallowing in the coding depths of JavaScript, AS3 or PHP, as I am discussing creative approaches with Designers, to arguing user flows with Information Architects and examining team utilizations with senior management.

Truth is I love doing all of those things. That's what keeps me going everyday. Variation. I like to think that my multi-faceted and unique skill-set really brings something different to the table. Not only am I capable of stepping into different production roles, but I believe I examine, contrast and understand projects in an extremely broad context. Conseqeuntly seeing things that other mono-skill individuals might not see.

In that same sense, I enjoy the challenges of understanding, communicating and implementing new approaches, technologies and systems. Particularly taking a seemingly standard technology or approach and distorting it's application. Technologies like JavaScript, PHP and ActionScript some of my favourite tools to execute such approaches.

Curriculum Vitae Snippets

The specification, management and development of an in-store installation for Adidas' 2008 Olympic promotion in Beijing. Users manipulated application characters via light and pressure sensors mounted on an external interface.

Developed a flexible (OOP) front-end development platform. Integrating the jQuery library within .NET based projects and offering simple innovations within our large-scale projects.

The development of a complex (MVC based) AS2 RIA for Eurostar. Incorporating timetabling and route mapping facilities via external SOAP services.
